Fire Department

Welcome to the Pierce Township Fire Department!
Although it still says Fire Department over our doors, the Pierce Township Fire Department has grown far beyond the volunteer fire department established in 1956. Today, in addition to fire suppression and emergency medical response, our personnel are crossed trained in disciplines as varied as Water Rescue, WMD response, Hazardous Materials Response, Confined Space and Rope Rescue. With constant training and modern equipment, our goal is to provide the finest possible service 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
We cover thirty-five square miles of territory, with a resident population of approximately 17,000. The Department currently employs 62 dedicated men and women with 9 Fire/EMS personnel on-duty twenty-four hours a day. Personnel are committed to providing service in the form of protection of life and property through the means of emergency medical services, rescue, fire prevention, suppression and public education.
