11-16-09 - The Police Department announces a new community information alert system. This system will provide residents with informational broadcasts of traffic issues, community events, and other critical information. This system is free to use and is provided by Nixle. 11-16-09 - The Pierce Township Police Department wants to notify residents of police cahrity scams that have been occurring in the State of Ohio. Please refer to this press release from the Attorney Generals office - click here.
11-11-09 - The National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators has award the Pierce Township Police Department a grant for $10,000 dollars, the township's "Outstanding work in the field of prescription drug abuse enforcement". This money will be used to continue this effort by purchasing additional equipment and training.
10-08-09 - Operation Sterilized Pierce - The Pierce Twp police, in a joint effort with the Clermont County Drug Unit and the Clermont County Sheriff's Office, are serving 50 drug related indictments on 24 person within Pierce Township.
9-20-09 - The 5th Annual Pierce Township Blood Drive to support Rebecca "Becca" Bennett, the daughter of Lt. Bennett; will be held on Oct. 19th from noon till 6 p.m. Click here for more information.
9-1-09 - Detective Bryan Burke is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lt. Burke has served the community of Pierce Township for 12 years.
6-15-09 - Pierce Township Police Department participates with other emergency responders from throughout the area in a full scale training exercise, required every four years by the Local Emergency Planning Commission (LEPC). The training exercise involved an incident that includes a riverboat; the Belle of Cincinnati, "which was hit by a barge", resulting in a fuel spill into the Ohio River, causing multiple casualties, and the need for an evacuation.
This full-scale exercise is a hands-on test that evaluates the overall emergency management function and how well various agencies work together for a combined response. This incident required a multi-state, multiple jurisdiction response and will challenge communications interoperability within the region.

5-28-09 - Det. Michael Buckler is awarded investigator of the year; and P.O. Laetitia Schuler is awarded Officer of the Year by the Clermont County Community at the 26th Annual Police Appreciation Awards.
4-3-2009 - The US Census Bureau will be conducting preliminary mapping for the upcoming 2010 census. These persons will have identification on their person and motor vehicle. 2-1-2009 - On February 1st, 2009, Col. Smith awarded P.O. Laetitia Schuler with a Winchester Ranger Ammunition jacket for her work in advancing the police department. P.O. Schuler was recommended for this honor by the Lt's of the department.
01-26-2009 - The Pierce Township Police Department receives $2,700 in seized drug money from a traffic stop conducted by P.O. Jason Doerman in November 2008. This money is going to be used to build an interview room; to assist in the interrogation of suspects and interviewing of victims.
01-22-2009 - On January 22, 2009, the Pierce Township Police Department along with the Clermont County Narcotics Unit, executed a search warrant at 1399 Lakewood Drive. Several citizen complaints were received by the police department along with calls to the Clermont County Narcotics Unit concerning suspicious activity at that location. As a result, an investigation was initiated by the police department and the Clermont County Narcotics Unit, which yielded a search warrant of the premises. The search of the residence yield suspected heroin, four firearms, and paraphernalia used in the distribution and abuse of heroin and cocaine.
01-15-2009 - Pierce Township Police Department has been awarded a grant from OCJS, Office of Criminal Justice Services. This is a $30,000 grant to contribute towards the Pierce Township officer in the Clermont County Narcotics Unit for the year 2009. 01-05-2009 - Members of the Pierce Township Police Department compete in a nationwide competition to become more physically fit and support The Shriners Hospital. This competition, the 911 Challenge, is groups of public safety workers from around the United States competing to lose the most fat and gain the most muscle. To learn more CLICK HERE.
